Carollon Tower (Baker Park)
I am not sure if that is how you spell it or not, but Igive you piece No.3 from salvaged marble, a reasonable scale model of the Carollon Tower in Baker Park, Frederick Maryland. A carrolon tower, for those unfamiliar, is a musical bell tower. It has an “organ” in the bottom floor and above are bells of different tones by which the organist plays music. All very cool and beautifully sounding. This was made as a gift for a retiring alderman in our city, who will remain nameless, but has been a selfless servant to this city as a police officer and and later as an alderman for 12 years. There are some people that are politicians and thrive on the power and accolades, and then there are those who are truly there as a servant asking for nothing in return. This piece is intended as a garden sculpture because it is simply HEAVY and if you walk into it in the middle of the night in the house it’s going to hurt. Hope she likes it…
Overall, 4 out of 4. I know where all of the problems are.
