Autumn

Can I say this is a favorite? It turned out just as I had imagined it, from the leaping squirrels to the acorns and leaves. It’s not often that it works out this way, usually something breaks or just doesn’t feel right. But not this time. I was trying to capture that leaping jump that a squirrel does as it runs, it’s whole body is an arc that doesn’t seem to move at the legs, it just bounds in an arc across the grass. And it turned out just as I had imagined it. My sole regret is that whomever took it never let me know- and it was in front of the Frederick Arts Council for Pete’s sake! Oh well. No guarantees in life.
