Keela

This started off as a clay portrait of my wife’s guide dog. I took a tutorial on doing clay busts, but I didn’t care to do a person so I did a dog and I think it turned out pretty okay. So after I fired and glazed it, I thought I would use it as my model to make a stone bust of her as well and I am not gonna lie, it was a chore. Lots of measuring and marking and measuring and marking with my homemade thingy for measuring and marking but in the end it paid off. Probably the most difficult piece I have made to date and that includes the diver’s helmet (see below) because at least that was geometrically shaped! Anyway, I will give it 4.5 out of 5, because there are some places where I could have done a little better…

Approximately 6”H x 8”W x 8”D
